About MultiplicationChart.app
MultiplicationChart.app is an independent project by Rai Ansar, a web developer in Pakistan who builds small, single-purpose tools. It makes multiplication charts, division charts and times tables worksheets that print cleanly on one page, with answer keys.
Why it exists
Most printable multiplication charts are fixed PDFs or images: one size, one paper format, and no answer key for a partly blank chart. Some contain wrong products. This site builds each chart from the options you pick, so a teacher or parent gets the exact sheet they need, and every number on it is calculated by the site instead of typed by hand.
It is not affiliated with any school, publisher, curriculum body or testing organization.
How the charts are made
- One layout for print and PDF. The printed page and the downloaded PDF come from the same page layout, with 0.5-inch (12.7 mm) margins on US Letter (8.5 × 11 inches) or A4 (210 × 297 mm). The chart on screen is built from the same numbers.
- PDFs are made in your browser. The Download PDF button creates the file on your device using the standard Helvetica font. Nothing is uploaded.
- Practice sheets are numbered. A sheet number determines which squares are blank and which problems appear on a worksheet. The same number always gives the same sheet and the same answer key.
- Tested before release. Automated tests check every product on every chart size. They also confirm that all printed content fits inside the margins on both paper sizes, that every worksheet problem is correct, that every answer key matches its sheet and that every PDF file is valid.
How pages are made
Page text is drafted with AI assistance (Anthropic's Claude). Before writing each page, we read the pages that rank in Google for its topic and the official documents it cites. Curriculum quotes are copied word for word from those documents, and an automated test checks that each quote still matches the saved source text. Pages are checked against their linked sources before publication, and every number in a table comes from the site's own code. When we make a substantive change to a page, we update its date. We never change a date without changing the page.
What it does not do
- It is not a curriculum and does not replace a teacher. We quote the standards to show which grade covers a skill; this does not imply any endorsement.
- Print settings vary. Choose Actual size (100%); Fit to page shrinks the sheet slightly.
- It does not track children. Nothing a child chooses or types is stored or sent anywhere (see Privacy).
Ads and costs
There are currently no ads, affiliate links or paid products. If display ads or a paid printable pack are added later, they will be labeled, the Privacy page will be updated first, and the free charts will stay free.
